Playground to be built by Paramount Pictures in Pekutatan, Jembrana, West Bali
Reportedly, Paramount has just signed an agreement to open the largest theme park in Southeast Asia, in Bali to be precise. According to sources, this project will help boost Bali’s economy post-pandemic as well as a breakthrough for Indonesia itself.
Paramount Pictures is working with PT Kios Ria Kreasi (KIOS), an Indonesian company engaged in technology, entertainment and tourism. Some of which he manages are Taman Kerthi Bali Semesta or KBS Park.
The theme park will present a combination of natural beauty and thematic characters of Paramount Pictures’ cinema world, with a touch of Indonesian culture. “We will utilize the characters in the Paramount Pictures library which stores more than 1,000 films, using brands and characters that will appeal to people of all ages,” said KIOS Main Director, Ade Sulistioputra in his statement, Friday (12/08 / 2022), as quoted by Kompas.com. “While other attractions that can also be displayed, such as characters on Nickelodeon, such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”
In addition, it will strengthen Bali’s position as a center for recreation and entertainment for citizens of the world. The construction of this playground project received support from the Chairman of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly, Bambang Soesatyo.
This film theme park in Bali has an area of 57 hectares and is almost 3 times the size of Universal studios. It is known that this park will be named Paramount Theme Park which will be located in Pekutatan, Jembrana, and is scheduled to be launched in 2025.
